Do You Need to Create?

Writer's picture: Rae CreatesRae Creates

There’s something about spirals, and circles (especially as dots)….curves maybe. I like them. But I think I love spirals a little. I realised yesterday I didn’t link back to what on earth all that had to do with creating….. I found that creating is something that helps me. Bringing something into being from a group of supplies or ingredients, an idea. That helps me. When I don’t want to, it signals I really need to and that’s where I am flitting around the edges of right now.

So, I did my mindful watercoloring, just 20 minutes to add some details to yesterday’s spiral. (see dots and spirals lol). I have my new moon art in front of me about to be inked in before painting. Do you create to process? To meditate? for another reason? I’d love to know….

Here’s my wip drawing too.

New moon painting: Boar with horns, butterfly wings and bee hives!

And a link to this weeks mindful watercolour video. If you want more, come join the FB group, it’s supportive (and free) and there are somewhere around 10 different video jumping off points so far (new one each week) as well as lots of yummy photo inspiration in there.
